We pride ourselves on going above and beyond the traditional standard of care. By utilizing advanced ultrasound technology, we increase accuracy during procedures and heighten sensitivity during our diagnostic assessments. Our providers have each received advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and non-surgical interventional Orthopedics. And finally, we deeply care about our patients and make it our focus to improve each person's quality of life.
Ultrasound technology is used as a diagnostic tool and guide during every procedure at ActiJoint. By providing this enhanced service we go above and beyond the normal standard of care. This is one of the many aspects that sets ActiJoint apart as a leading injection facility.
By using advanced ultrasound technology we uniquely provide:
OA has been shown to be drastically underdiagnosed. For example, in patients over age 60, 37% have findings of knee OA on x-rays while 91% have findings of knee OA by MRI or ultrasound. This heightened sensitivity is vital as many OA treatments can reliably prevent the further damage OA causes as it progresses if caught and treated in the earlier stages.

Every patient is treated with kindness and professionalism. We are more than compassionate, we are invested in restoring your quality of life. But don’t just take our word for it, check out what our patients have said about us! Click Here!
Dr. Riggs’ passion for caring for others is what led him to healthcare. But the ability to create a clinic culture that was completely focused on patients is why he started his own practice.
“Unfortunately, because of factors like sheer volume, patients too often become numbers instead of people. In working at hospitals I noticed that the focus was on the bottom line instead of being centered on patient care. When I started my own practice I wanted to be different. I was drawn to healthcare because I loved caring for people. And it is my belief that quality medical care is much more than providing excellent treatment. To me, kindness is just as important as knowledge and experience in a provider. I want my patients to feel ‘cared for’ in every sense of the term.” (Ryan Riggs, M.D.)
At ActiJoint we believe that every patient deserves quality time with their healthcare provider. So when you schedule with ActiJoint you can expect to spend at least 45-60 minutes with your medical provider. This time is spent informing you of your treatment options and providing our recommendations based on our expertise, answering any questions you may have concerning your joint health, and counseling with you to decide your plan of care.
We understand that cost of treatment plays a role in making an informed decision regarding your care. Though most offices place the responsibility solely on you to contact your insurance company to determine your plan benefits, we perform an in-house insurance verification with every patient and happily answer any questions explaining benefits and out-of-pocket cost estimates. This is yet one more courtesy that sets us apart from other clinics.
